The Sightline Program kick-off event held in mid-November convened 120 JHU, JHHS, Workday, and Huron staff members to align on the program’s objectives. Participants learned of leaders’ visions for the program, worked together to define the experiences of team members and how that drives success, and discussed the commitment of Sightline’s partners.

The Sightline program is made up of frontline users, and the team includes representation from all administrative functions across the Johns Hopkins University and the Johns Hopkins Health System. These team members represent more than 1000 hours of combined experience working at Johns Hopkins.

Speakers included Sightline leaders Matt Nesbitt (Program Executive), JoAnn Ioannou, (JHHS Vice President of Strategic Initiatives), and Fernanda Pio Roda (JHU Assistant VP Finance and Administration Transformation), and executive sponsors Rich Mendola (Vice President and Chief Information Officer), Kevin Sowers (President of Johns Hopkins Health System; Executive Vice President of Johns Hopkins Medicine), and Laurent Heller (Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration). These speakers all discussed the themes of rapid technology innovation, standardized approaches, and keeping engagement with Johns Hopkins team members at the center of the work.

Other highlights of the day included Huron Solution Architects covering Workday products scope, a lightning round of Sightline functional and cross-functional lead introductions, a conversation about Workday in 10 years, and a competitive marshmallow challenge.
