The Inspiration
Something within a sightline can be directly observed. This program aspires to keep an open sightline for everyone throughout Johns Hopkins to see where their work is headed and enable better business outcomes as Workday is implemented.
Sightline's OverviewThe Vision
Modernizing administrative technology and streamlining business processes to:
- Leverage advances in technology over the past decade
- Improve user experience
- Make work more efficient
- Introduce or expand standardization where appropriate
- Improve data governance and quality
- Facilitate better data access and visualization for analysis and decision-making
- Enhance compliance
The Connections
Collaboration, creation, and feedback are at the heart of Sightline. Over 600 participants across Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Health System already engaged with the program. Participants helped select Workday, and Huron as the system implementor, and are now providing ideas and feedback on the business transformation. New engagement opportunities will arise throughout the program.
The Timeline
The Sightline program is already underway, but a transformation of this scale doesn’t happen overnight. The current focus is the prepare phase where employees are engaged in transforming ways of working and readying data for Workday. The anticipated go-live date is July 2027.
